Are you a teacher? How about MICRO FIRST® LEGO® League Jr.

Bring FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. into your classroom!

MICRO FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. is an ‘in house’ version of the globally recognised FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. It gives you the opportunity, resources and guidance to run and deliver the programme within your curriculum time.

It also helps spread the impact of being part of FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. across a wider range of pupils, allowing them the full benefit of what the programme has to offer.

Rather than a select group of pupils, your whole class will be able to take part and develop their skills across a wide range of STEM subjects. Rather than having to travel to an Expo - you will hold your very own within your school!

Registration costs £125 + VAT, and you will receive:

  • 1 x MICRO Guide (for you)
  • 2 x Team Meeting Guides (for you)
  • 5 x Inspire Sets (big box of LEGO, which contains the Inspire Model and many additional LEGO pieces)
  • 30 x Engineering Noteboooks for the pupils
  • 30 x LEGO Medals and lanyards
  • 30 x Hard Copy Participation certificates

You will also need 5 x LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 Core Sets and compatible computers/tablets for the children to code and program their models.

There are many distributors of LEGO Education equipment, but our official partners are www.raisingrobots.com. Please get in touch with them if you would like to discuss purchasing WeDo 2.0 equipment.

These resources will guide you through the process, and give you all you need in order to run successful sessions in the classroom, and deliver a fun Expo for the teams to enable them to share their work!

The Team Meeting Guide details suggestions on how to run each session, and complete the Challenge.

We suggest each session lasts an hour, but it is up to you. The Challenge can be completed in 6, 9 or 12 session routes - completely depending on when you would like to run it, and the MICRO Expo comes at the end of the route. In the MICRO guide, there is also an option for a three session route, for a more immersive experience.

You know your class better than anyone, so it is up to you which route you choose!
